Great books, only one pointer, Prowl isn't second in command, Jazz is.

Actually in the cartoon, that is the continuity we are following, it was never clear who the second in command was, sometimes it was Ironhide, sometimes Prowl, and other times Jazz; so we are going with that same notion, a sort of shared command.
For this specific story Jazz is busy (somewhere we haven't show yet), and Ironhide is in Cybertron (take a read at our "The Queen's Gambit" story), so Prowl has assumed command of the main autobot forces on Earth.

I only go by what was established in MTMTE episodes 1-3. That was where the original basis was. I can't even think of one episode where Prowl was second in command. Even in the Marvel comics Prowl took orders from Jazz. But whatever you are guys are doing, the comics you are doing are still awesome. :)
